Hi there! My name is Chelsea and I run Tama Tama as a pop-up business that specializes in third culture Filipino merienda (Tagalog for snack!) - drawing inspiration from western cuisine and East Asian technique and flavours.

The word Tama Tama is derived from

Japanese - たまたま

casually; unexpectedly; by chance

Tagalog - tamang-tama

exactly right; on point

Tamarind - Key ingredient in Southeast Asian cuisine

Tamago - 玉子焼き Japanese - Egg

Essential part of daily diet in many asian cultures; often associated with the concept of new beginnings, as they symbolize the start of new life.

Tama Tama is 100% Filipino but also 100% global - hence why we call ourselves a third culture kitchen! We want to highlight the first/second generation Filipino immigrant experience with our food and drinks.
